I did put double adjustables on the rear over the winter, the Compression is a bit tighter where it`s set right now (7) the Extension is at (6) and might be a little loose, one of the guys said the back tires were getting it hard off the brake and getting "shark gills" all along the side walls. Never heard it explained that way but I knew what he meant, the tires are still getting beat to death. The 4.11 and th350 2.52 first is killing me now

nope...glide is what I am thinking but with all the goodies it`s close to 3k. Next time out if traction is that poor, I`m going to try leaving off the brake in 2nd. I`ve done it once in the past and it killed et about a tenth, mph was the same.

Getting close on the shocks and the track was better this weekend, still bad 60`s at 1.42`s BUT after a brief lapse of common sense (which I will post some video of) the new motor pulled me to a 9.26 @ 150 with a lousy 1.42 60` I see the 8`s coming !!

i was running my car one night fighting with the radials. it was leaving ok every other pass and blowing the tires off on the others. on the passes where it actually hooked, it was going ~1.34s or some junk. last pass of the night, as i let go of the tbrake button, the car left and my hand immediately pulled the shifter into 2nd gear. 1.30 60'. bam. lmao....

Not enough suspension travel, weight transfer, suspension setup to plant the tires harder. At that MPH, you should easily have an 8 second pass.
My new 588 is just about finished. Just waiting for some new lifters and pushrods.

I just about lost it, put some new wilwoods on the back over the winter, they work well, just adjusting to them now, but yea you can hear the motor stop, I dead locked them, it is narrow, its like racing in an alley, any problem you have to abort.

Re: good bye 498, hello 540
It has alot of travel, front and rear, but if I lossen it it slams the rear tires off the line and unloads a few feet out. I know what it should be doing and we are trying to get there, stock suspension and a 10.5 is not so easy to do it on but we will get it. Congrats on the 588, I have confidence your going to have everything perfect this time.

Yep the nitrous converter is in it, I`m leaving at 3000 so it`s calmer...sort of climbing the converter out of the hole. Now that I`m getting the shocks closer I can start getting more aggressive on the launch..with new tires of course. I have mentioned that this thing is set up for two stages and is in full nitrous trim as it sits, I`m not sure what a N/A converter and cam would do for it. good one!

NA mph will lie to you against a nitrous convert & gearing. Slower ET's & higher MPH than "normal".
Now the question is, for the second pass did you have to sit in the stain in the seat or were you able to get it out between rounds???? - It is hard to consciously release the brakes when running that kind of MPH and watching the end of the shut-down area get closer fast.

Ha haaa...The first thing the guy at the ticket booth said was "I`m all out of toilet paper" Yea you have been there ****, ur exactly right, Brakes..NO Brakes..wait! Brakes AHH NO Brakes! All the while I`m thinking as well "pull da chute, pull da chute... Jedi mind trick just didn't work for me. I`ll be better prepared next time there`s problem. I`ll bring my own roll and some stain remover
As for the shocks, we made adjustments before every pass, they are the new Aerospace double adjustable s and 1 click makes a world of difference so I`m thinking it just needs to be tuned in a hair more to get back to the low 1.3`s..they might be too tight on extension now, I`ll get the outside video up so you guys can critique the leave.
