first and last race of the season for me for 2010
Rented cordova dragway for 8 hours on nov 6th. DA was -1800 in the morning and -450 when I started making passes. Running this nitrous converter n/a only really killed me at the starting line all day. Best 60' were in the 1.6X range the whole time, motor didn't wake up until 5500 or so and that was 100' out at least. Added some timing and played around with launch techniques and rpm on footbrake and transbrake, definitely need to loosen the stall a little or just hit it with a shot and see what happens. Need new front springs since there is no weight transfer with how low the nose is now. Debating coilovers in the front or just buying a new set of stock replacement springs and letting it eat.

What did it stall to on the brake? What did it flash to on the nitrous?

Re: first and last race of the season for me for 2010
why last run of the season did you break something or is it just to cold now?

Re: first and last race of the season for me for 2010
too cold, we had snow in the area 2 days before the track rental. It's 60 today, but going to be cold by the end of the week. So my season is done, nothing broke so it's getting put away on a good note for once

if thats a nitrous converter, you might as well leave the car alone until you spray it. my car picks up 2.5 tenths in the 60' with just a small shot. goes from barely popping the fronts off the ground to picking them up a foot and carrying them 60'.

Re: first and last race of the season for me for 2010
found two more pics of it
The nose definitely doesn't move more than 2" tops up at the hit, maybe a shot will wake it up then. Would kinda like it to do a little better n/a and still run a shot, maybe I'm crazy for wanting both

Ya just filling them bottles will get pricey after a while, but I'm excited to hit it in the spring. That morning when the track opened the temp was 22 and 56 for a high so it's the last day to try this season I'm sure.

Do you ever make it to GLD for RSD? I saw Today on Chitown that they may try to do one more.

thanks bud, wish you could have came out too
because we're doing something wrong I don't mind not doing wheelies though, wasted movement as you put it. Thanks for the call the other night, gives me some stuff to mess with this winter.

I am always doing something wrong and the weight of your car is just plain wrong. I am working on those part numbers for the strut's. Saves like 80.00+

Re: first and last race of the season for me for 2010
let me in on the struts too! im running koni spa-1's with trick springs up front and i cant figure out how it could save that much weight....
i am more confident with the stock setup since there is no weight held up by the strut towers like the coilover setups. on a hard wheelstand landing i wondered if it could tweak the car?

Re: first and last race of the season for me for 2010
no he's talking about my car being a fatty and weighing too much, not the weight savings of the coilover setup. I need to either put in taller stock springs that are not cut as much or try out these trick springs I have but have at least 2 coils cut out of them by my last buddies super light 3rd gen.

Piecing the strut parts together saves $80.00 not 80lbs. Not sure if it was clear up there.

.117n/.102f, 4.75psi flowing. No progressive, WOT switch and t-brake interrupt only. -
yeah, about that......I might have made a slight mis-calculation in my IC height that I just caught a couple days ago. Doesn't help that I still wasn't throwing enough power at it off the line, and the converter was a good 1k too tight. - Car was trying to dead hook instead of getting on the tire.
bahhh. We've been mid 1.1x 60's with a stock geared th400 and no wheenie bars, front up 12-18". - Refer to above response, lol.

thats what i was thinking. friend of mine went through 3-4 HIGH DOLLAR glides last year. i think he gave up on that one and sold it. now hes running a rossler glide but i dont think hes made any passes on it yet. lots of FAST guys have swapped from the glide to the 400 this year.

You know I didn't see it the first time, but after watching again I see it now. Looks like it pulled right a little.

Looks like a decent turnout, wish I could have made it up there. Hopefully in the spring I can get the junk up there.
