what kind of quarter mile times are you guys running and what powertrain set ups do you have? im looking to build a 415 small block for my car and do a 5 speed swap. still unsure about the rear end but im just curious as to how you guys are doing.

What 5-speed? Hopefully you're not thinking of a factory T5. A Richmond, maybe.
Rear - 9" or 12-bolt. Don't spend money on anything less. The Strange S60 looks interesting as well.
My car: '82 Berlinetta. Powertrain: 2000 LS1 & T56, basically stock with LS6 intake and Hawks long-tube headers. LS7 clutch kit, 9" w/4.11 gears.
Times: Best to date (at 5800' elevation, ~8500' DA) 13.3 @ 104 with poor 60' (I was working on launch technique when the latest weak link was found). That translates to about a 12.3 @ 110 at sea level (haven't had it at sea level).
For reference, my "other" '82 Berlinetta with LS1/4L60E, same year engine trans and mods except shaved 317 heads, 3000 stall, 3.73 gears, has run a best at altitude of 12.88 @ 106 MPH with a 16 MPH head wind (~8000' DA). My sea level runs were before I had things sorted out, but it ran a best of 12.4 @ 111 MPH.

Oh, the LS1/4L60E car still has a 10-bolt rear. Has Eaton posi carrier, factory gears, Moser axles, and Summit support cover. It has worked flawlessly - have more passes on it than I had on the LS1/T56 car. The similarly-prepped 10-bolt with 4.10 gears originally in the LS1/T56 car lasted 2 passes (and the first pass was with a very soft launch).

Re: 1/4 mile times
There was a reason they didn't put the T5 behind the 350's....... I destroyed mine (stock) with a lightly built 305.

Re: 1/4 mile times
can they be built up and last? or is there another 5 speed that you would recommend? is the t-56 6 speed any better?
