Curacao International Raceway
Hi everyone, do any of you know Curacao? It's a small island next to Aruba and close to the coast of Venezuela. We have a beautiful track down here with bracket races at the end of each month. I'm currently driving my 82 Z28 and am 1st place in my bracket class. The car ran 13.38's very consistently but swapped cams last weekend so we'll see. The class is no electronics and runs from 9.20 to 13.99. Anyways, last month we had a big event here with racers from Aruba, Venezuela, St Marten, Statia and... wait for it... the U.S . Pat Musi was here driving his new dodge stratus pro mod car wich is actually owned by the track owner. Tony christian was also here tuning for a driver from Venezuela. And Jeff Dobbins was here driving an IHRA pro stock gto also owned by a local. You can check out some pictures of the track and some of the cars here:

Re: Curacao International Raceway
How expensive is it to get your cars from island to island? I've used google earth to view the race track before.

Re: Curacao International Raceway
Most of the time they charter a boat to go from island to island so it depends how many cars you can shove into one container :P. For instance, the guys from puerto Rico are experts at putting 4... yes 4 cars in one container. Just hanging one tiny rotary car above the other lol. But the cars from Curacao mostly only go to Aruba, the track in Aruba is decent but most people say the track here is the best in the Caribbean. Too bad we only have a big event like last month once a year at the end of april. Everyone should come next year! :P
