Sorry to hear about your motor. You definitly have that car flying. I hope to run into you out at lapeer someday.

Thanks guy, its not the way it`s supposed to be but hey it happens. I`ll be back out shortly, wont be to lapeer until at least september unless we get a good cool down. Block is back and I`ll probably start putting it back together next week or so. Off to the classifieds to make some ring and bearing money now!!

Did you hurt the rings or bearings? I've re-run more sets of both than most have ever run total.

The rings on the bore that cracked have some vertical scrathes/grooves, so I`d be good if I could get a single set, I`ll check on that. The crank had a burn mark on the middle main saddle but for only half of the diameter, near the fillet toward the rear of the engine. Crank guy said there are small cracks and the crank has a small amount of run out, so they are straightening it by turning I believe, told me get a set of .010 unders... rod bearings will be back in the motor so all is not lost lol
