aftermarket brakes?
Just installed the strange drag units on the front. Now i need to know what to do about the brake lines. Anyone done this yet? Should be the same as the wilwood and aerospace set-ups. The calipers use a 3an.
Thanks,
Aaron

OK, then for you guys running those brakes, is there any real weight savings??? I have "heard" 20# of weight loss, but I just don't see how its possible? Anyone have some hard #'s???

Re: aftermarket brakes?
I never weighed my front brakes.
Factory:
Cast caliper
Cast vented rotor/hub
Aerospace brakes:
Aluminum caliper with an aluminum mounting bracket attached to a modified spindle
Aluminum hub
Single steel rotor bolted to the hub.
The aluminum caliper and hub save a lot of weight and using a single disk rotor instead of a vented rotor saved a lot of weight. This is a drag racing only setup. The single disk rotor wouldn't be able to handle the heat generated from stop and go driving on the street with such a heavy car. For street driving, I'd recommend any dual vented rotor system.

Re: aftermarket brakes?
i now have a vented rotor on the car which aerospace told me was 4 pounds per side more than a drag kit.
i didnt weigh my front kit. was in a hurry.
pretty sure its going to be close to the 26 pounds mentioned above compared to what i had in the rear.
