It's very different than the typical mini-tub. Most people just modify the existing wheel house. - Between the unibody structure and suspension placement there really is no reason to try to cut the tub completely out and install a full "mini tub".

Unlike older cars where the frame rails are considerably inside from the inner fenders, third gen frame rails are right at the inner fenders. You can't make them wider than they already are but modifications can still be made to accept a larger tire.
