12-15 second 1/4 mile time. With all the info provided, that's the best guess I can do.

I don't know what you are calling mild. How about some info on the gear ratio, cam size, compression, converter stall, intake. How much horsepower are you expecting to make. I would say a mild street build in a 455 should get mid to high 12's, but then again what is mild?

Judging from your post I would say you have never been to a race track where the 1/4 mile is ran nor do you probably plan on it. The only way your going to find out what your 0-60 is by using a G-Tech or something even know there probably not accurate for crap. My guess is, if you go through with your project and it turns out to run okay you will be happy with it because it will A. do burnouts B. be loud C. Be something you created.

If you were seriously concerned with 1/4 mile times, you would probably see some mid to low 14 seconed times and with about 3-5,000 worth of drivetrain improvemants (gears, exhaust, tires, trans, conv. etc...) you might have a 13.50 in it.

good luck and post some pics

Re: 1/4 mile and 0-60?

i know my intake would be an edl. performer. and the compression is 8.5/1.

Re: 1/4 mile and 0-60?

With that kind of compression and intake I'm assuming tht your build is going to be very mild. Realistically, high 13's will probably be the best you will pull with such a mild set up. If you are new to racing a mid 13 second big block will outrun most of the small block's that show up in a street class. I run mid 12's and usually am one of the quickest cars at our track.
