The aerodynamics of the 3rd gen Firebirds are pretty good. That is probably one reason it was chosen. Also probably for the room to install an aluminum big block. Excellent job by the crew there.

That car was posted with some road track videos a while back... It would smoke the huge rear tires at 120mph+
I could get a VW bus to those speeds with that amount of HP. That car should be able to crack 300mph if all is right...
