WOW 9.95 on motor with 93 oct.

First time to the new palm beach international raceway and came home with a new best!
first pass: 1.41 60ft with a 10.06
second pass 1.38 60 ft with a 9.97 @ 134.27
third pass 1.37 60 ft with a 9.95 @ 134.08
All done on 93 oct and thru the mufflers on DOT radial street tires.
I fell lucky I think I am going to play the lottery.

Re: WOW 9.95 on motor with 93 oct.

I'd love to race at sea level or in conditions with air below sea level some day. I'm always struggling at high altitude. At least I don't have to race in Denver.

Re: WOW 9.95 on motor with 93 oct.

The weater was nice 57-59 deg I was worried I would not get the ticket with the head winds we had.Stephen load that car up and come on down, track is working great.Fast 82 the headers are hooker long tubes 1 3/4 cam is pretty good size soild roller. MW man with the luck I have with this motor and the economy I think I just may keep running it on motor I have a new intake for it a motown,I home ported we will see if that helps.

No pics I never take the camara to the track. If I can figure out how to use my scannner I could post the time slips.

A badge of honor.

We especially enjoy watching the low levelers when they see their first time slip here. . .

Ross, did you change out the 3:89's and tight n20 converter you were using in orlando last year when you went 10.40's?

I think ive mentioned before that im building almost an identical car. If I can get it to do 9.95's on motor, im gonna do backflips.

Re: WOW 9.95 on motor with 93 oct.

Yes I changed the converter and gears. I bought a PTC 8'' 5500 stall converter and put a 4.10 gear in it I also switched the 950 hp carb for a 1050 dominator. Those are the only changes from Orlando.
