This could be a re post but I want to see some new pics. Here is a thread with a lot and it looks like some of you already posted up.
This forum should have this thread.

It may not be as fast as a lot of you guys, but it did leave the factory as a race car, and sometimes it thinks it's a race car.

Re: Post pics of third gen Race cars.
The majority of TGO members have street/strip cars and not dedicated race cars like most of those pictured on YB.
I frequent YB for information but have never registered to contribute.
Since this web site is dedicated to third gens, there doesn't need to be a specific thread to just show racing cars. Many people posting to the racing forum already show a picture of their car.
The majority of the TGO forums are also tech orientated not general discussions. That YB post is in a non tech forum.

Not to mention, that thread is a great thing for other people who enjoy seeing the potential that third gens have and it can also inspire and motivate anyone with a goal or project and also give them ideas.

This is from the end of '06. It has been a while since it has seen the track. Last time it was at the track it ran 10.38@128. It will finally be completed for next year and will be in the 8.80-9.00 range with the help of a 415ci small block. Sorry I had all my good pics on a different computer.

I thought you had a black/gold car? Have any pictures of that one? Still selling the roller??? I bought 2210's and a powermaster starter from your friend with the black convertible.

Re: Post pics of third gen Race cars.
I need to get some more photos up-loaded to photobucket. I'm usually online from work, so I don't have access to most of my photos.
The car is almost finished now. It's set-up for 10.5 outlaw.

Re: Post pics of third gen Race cars.
Thanks. That is my first set of headers, I'm fairly proud of them. If you want I can post up some build pics of them. I have pics of each stage of each primary tube all the way up to the completed headers. Plasma cut flanges and mandrel u-bends, not a kit. They're 2-1/4 primary, 5" collector. I've got to build the mufflers and install the O2 bungs yet.

I've got a crap-load more on my home computer.
----------
The struts are tied to the upper strut plates(I fabbed up the sphericals using the stockers as a template). The towers are tied to the cage strut pipe. - The whole car is a DIY job. I'm too poor to do it any other way.

Re: Post pics of third gen Race cars.
The towers are stock, just braced to the cage/strut pipe that runs through them. The caster/camber plates are custom diy built with a spherical mount for use with coil-overs. - There is no factory dash support or cowl area in the car at all. Just a dash cover and column tube(alum pipe type).

Re: Post pics of third gen Race cars.
thanks! It's completely diss-assmebled right now, just finishing up painting everything. Should be going back together this weekend for the final time, wire it up and a couple other things next week to be ready for the following sunday t-n-t.
I'm not going to have the blower on it just yet. I've only made on 1 pass in the car before, and then I tore it apart to do all the work. I couldn't fit in the car comfortably, and it still had the stock k-member and a-arms in it. - I was in commission based sales, with the current economy it was either get the odds & ends to finish up the 1471 or finish the car and drop one of our NA motors in and go play. I opted to get some seat time, hopefully sell a motor or two and then finish up the new blower. - I kinda wish we still had the 871 set-up that was on the '68, I'd be ready to play.
I really like yours, very clean. My next project is an '86 bird that going to be a stock suspension radial car. I've got a 96mm squirrel strainer for it, probably end-up going bigger.

Re: Post pics of third gen Race cars.
^^^ that's how I'm planning to to do the strut pipes in my radial car. I can then tab the block plate to the front curved kicker legs. Some B-E-A-UTIFUL rides on here.
wow man! I hadn't seen any full car shots of yours before. That thing is gorgeous! I hope my radial project turns out that clean.
- it won't let me edit the other post and I moved a bunch of the exhaust pics around on photobucket and added a bunch more. This link should get you into the album, for those who want to look.

not too scary though. the last time i ran at the track i had people asking me if it was a turbo cause they couldnt hear my car go down the track.
just running a stock replacement dynomax muffler. need to go duals or something, im sure its holding me back, but i like it quiet.
