Almost 13's :(
Took the car to the track for the last time this year.
L98
Hooker 2055 Headers/Y pipe
3" cat back with a powerstick muffler.
AFPR@47PSI
Timing at 8 degrees.
Stock 2.77 9 bolt rear.
Best time was a 14.04@98mph. 2.0 60ft. I couldn't leave any harder than going WOT off idle. I wish I could have ran more, I think I could have got 13's. But someone put their car into the wall, then someone blew their rear. I got 3 runs in for the day.

Re: Almost 13's :(
running almost identical to my old car. I had 2800 stall and was able to crack 1.89 60 foot on my street tires with those 2.77's. 13.89 at 97 was my best time
you'll get there i think you just need a converter to play with more launch rpm.
i swapped to 3.27's and didnt gain much.. 13.88 on a 1.88 60 foot was my best, but my trap speed went up to 99-100 mph over 97

Re: Almost 13's :(
I just wanted to see how much I could squeeze out of the L98. Next year it will have a different heads/cam/intake. After that, the gears and stall for sure.

Re: Almost 13's :(
I had headers, stock cat back pipes (2.75), and a 80 series. Timing was @10, and AFPR was @49.
Added the 3" cat back, powerstick muffler, adjusted the timing to 8, and adjusted the AFPR to 47. This gave me my new best time.

Re: Almost 13's :(
Better times with lower fuel pressure and less timing.Do you think the 3" exhaust or the powerstick or both made the differance?

Re: Almost 13's :(
I think both. People were telling me when I was going WOT, I'd puff a little black smoke. I dropped the FP, and it went away. Also when I data logged my car, I got more spark retard advancing it to 10. That's why I took it back to 8. When I put the exhaust on, I "felt" it pulled better. Guess it wasn't in my head. But I honestly believe it was everything.
