Wheel Stands..

I have a buddy that has a 4th gen..2000 Camaro..Stock bottom end LS1 with a hot cam(525) lift and LS6 intake. Pretty basic street car..not real fast off bottle..The car weights around 3300 with him in it. Last night on the bottle(200) shot stock tranny ran 10.02 at like 120something idk..but he did a bad *** wheel stand..The car has a nice wide 15 in slick with a 12 bolt with like 3:73s with think..Adjustable rear trailing arms..My question is how the hell can I make my 87 GTA hook like that with a 500 horse small block and a lot of nitrous..I would love to see the front stand up like that..Iv got 90/10 coil overs and going to order some BMR rear everythign..is it possable to get my turd to do it??

Re: Wheel Stands..

get some slicks and 50/50 rear shocks and 90/10s up front with trick springs, a good converter and you'll be there as well. Hope you know this won't be cheap either.

Re: Wheel Stands..

I know. Iv spent almost $6500 on the motor now..and its not done yet. $3000 for a proformabuilt 700R4..The Moser 9in $3200 (I got that before I got out of high school). Still gotta get the rear suspension..had a cage put in it..all new inteior..Im think the car should apraise for around 30,000. The only thing org is the sheatmetal..and wheels..Iv got 90/10s already with a coil over kit..Should I change to the "trick" spring or see how they do first?? Thanks!!

Re: Wheel Stands..

I recommend a good anti sway bar, one that is adjustible since that is the only thing that will be steering your car with the front end off the ground, otherwise your gunna be hurting the car if she veers and you let out of the throttle.
