little help calculating times with these slips

Can anyone help calculate with these time slips or link me to a calculator that might help.I barrowed a set of 28x9x15 MT slicks and went to a track.First time on slicks so I`m excited about being able to put my foot on the floor and leave it there.Last time I came to this track the tree was messed up so no time slips.BUT NOBODY TOLD ME it`s a 130 feet short of a full 1/8th mile untill After I got my first timeslip and was like WTF.I thought it looked short but the other 1/8th miles I`ve been to looked short.Anyway, is there anyway to calculate my 1/8th or 1/4 speed/et with these time slips.best to worst.The track is said to be 530` long.Why make a track shorter than an 1/8th?
60`= 1.901
330`= 5.635
ET=7.335
72 mph

60`=1.976
330`=5.731
ET=7.440
71.76 mph

60`=1.910
330`=5.640
ET=7.342
71.99 mph

60`=1.913
330`=5.637
ET=7.340
71.77 MPH

60`=1.914
330`5.654
ET=7.365
71.65 MPH
Much more consistant with slicks and man it throws my head back.I cant imagine driving the car next to me,one time,who was standing straight up halfway down the track.I have a few issues to work out and It should pick up some.Knock retard is pulling timing and it wont shift into 3rd at WOT most of the time.
I had one that was 7.2 at about 72.5 mph but I cant find it now.Guess I threw it away when I threw awat some trash before I left Figures it was my best et and mph.Anyway,Can anybody figure et`s and mph in 1/8th or 1/4 with these slips or am I just screwed till I get to a real track.I had a wallace race calculator bookmarked,that might have helped,I cant find it now I`v searched and not found one that would help.Do yall think I might hit 8.5 in the1/8th?Car seems like it was a little sluggish.Could the slicks have slown me down some at 20 psi.It could be the shorter track or the other issues I`m having.I suspected My posi was going/gone out and I was right.I dunno Got some work to do on her. Thanks in advance.

To calculate 1/8 mile ET to 1/4 mile, multiply by 1.56. For a weird track length, you're SOL.

Re: little help calculating times with these slips

Doing some basic math, basically looking at old slips from my two cars...

I found that if I multiplied the 330' time by 2.4 - it usually gave me really close to what I ran in the 1/4. That would put you around 13.5 - 13.7 in the 1/4 mile - and I'll say around 8.6 - 8.7 in the 1/8. Again, not 100% accurate, but should be fairly close.

HTH

And yeah, those tall slicks killed your gear, so it would be a bit sluggish until it got rolling. You'd need a lot looser/higher stall converter to get the car moving on those tall tires.

Re: little help calculating times with these slips

Well,since a tire change is cheaper and easier could a smaller slick or maybe a closer to stock size drag radial be a little better?I was hopeing to hit an 8.5 but it was just shifting into 3rd right before I crossed the finish line Third gear picks up alot of mph in no time,usually jumps 10 mph to 80 or 85 right after the shift.I guess I`ll have to get to another track to find out what I`m picking up that last 130`.Has anyone else ever heard of a short track like that?

I like drag radials better because I drive on them everywhere, but I won't deny a slick is more consistent. I would look for a true 26" tire with the gears you have. You'll have to be the judge on what type of tire you pick. (DR or slick)

I think a friend of mine once told me he ran at a track that was 594' instead of the standard 660'. But, I don't remember where it was exactly.

Re: little help calculating times with these slips

Yeah when A friend of mine told me he got an 8.8,on this track,with his basicly stock 88 daytona turbo I should have figured.I thought it was wierd when he said he trapped at 62 mph with an 8.8.I was thinking how is that.He didnt even know the track was short.Thanks for yalls input.I`ll get to anothr track eventually with some 26"tall tires and hopefully hit 8.5.I`ve got to get a new posi,better headersupgraded TPI and straighten out the issues with my trans and knock sensor pulling the timing at WOT and hopefully be in the low 8`s.I just wonder/don`t know if I can pick up 10 mph in that las 130`.
