Ran the car again tonight with the subframe connectors on and boy is it a difference. The car is all over the track now lol its not flexing anymore. The launch is stiff now so its more violent and the car is abit harder to keep straight


60 foots still arent getting any better than 1.55. Traction is poor. Found out my tire spun on the rim first past but didnt the next 3 so not sure whats up with that

STill gotta work on the suspension and maybe go to a wider tire. 26x10.5 et street may not be enough but i think it is and its just my car isnt working right

But my best was 11.47 at 118.5 mph tonight on the 1.55 60 foot.

ran a couple of 11.52-53 passes and then one bad spinning first pass of 11.83.

Sidenote: got some competition tonight. My best race ever was with this turbo diesel truck. ran 11.83 at 113 but he left the light a tad quicker than me so it turned out to be neck and neck race till top half i barely nudged by! never expected a ram 2500 with a lift kit to run like that!! extended cab to boot!

wow very nice, if you dont mind me asking what type of hp/tq (mainly tq) are you putting to the ground? Also what have you done to the rear end?

 

rear end is bone stock 10 bolt from a '00 trans am 3.42 gear

car has full suspension mods tho but they need working

Car made 392/371 whp/wtq hot!! Cooled down its around 400/380 if not more. thats with stock MAF sensor and TPI lid. NEW 3.5" MAF and CAI i expect 5-10hp total once its tuned up. Not as much as i hoped tho but a gain would be nice

Congrats, I wish my car was spinning to a 1.55 60 foot. Best I could muster last night on the 275/60's was a 1.704 - still went 11.31 on the other end though.

 

Guess it kind of looks like your old intake setup wasn't as bad as people say, still good times none the less.

the 8pt roll bar will arrive tomorrow and i'll maybe get working on it this week but i doubt it. I'm actually thinking nitrous kit before the cage install, running it once at my track to see what it does then do the cage.



the 3.5" MAF was custom made by me using the stock maf internals epoxied to a 3.5" exhaust tube

trying to document my progress as best i can. Hopefully if anyone follows this build and wants to get similar results they can check here and see what i've done and the problems that occur. I think i've stated the good and bad, but if i left anything out let me know. Any questions or comments about how i'm presenting this info would be appreciated.
