few 100 shot passes

weather was THE WORST ive ever raced in. it was bad.
motor pull was only 7.03 at 97.82..... it felt so slow i thought some plug wires were off.
1st pass on the spray was 6.76 at 105, with a horrible 1.62 60ft.
6.64 at 104, 6.59 at 105, still with only a 1.53 60ft. motor it does 1.50's so i adjusted the shocks on full looose front and rear, and took out about a 1/2 pound of fuel pressure out.
1.402 60ft
4.192
6.095
6.522
105.38 mph
275/60 hoosier DR's on a 8" wheel

talk about fast..... car was in the air.
with a better track, i dunno what its gonna do on a 150..... not to mention cooler weather.
motor is a stock 6.0 with a 235/237 cam. e water pump, long tubes, full catback.

Re: few 100 shot passes

congrats, makes me feel good about the 6.0 i want to build over the winter, but mine will have L92 heads and probably a cam with a little more duration split. how much stall do you have in there? and what's you race weight?

ive been looking at l92 heads myself!!!! big flow for cheap, but i dont think my cam will support the clearance neeed for the l92's big intake valve.

its a yank 5000 stall, 4.33 gear. raceweight is 3400 pounds, give or take 20 from the scale. i have not been on a set of 4 corner scales, but i need to.

Re: few 100 shot passes

i may be doing a 200 shot in a fogger but the L92's an TSP 233/239 look like a pretty good combo. The CNC ported L92 heads look like the way to go though. i would like to run 6.0 in the eighth to be well, kind of competitive in the 10.5 heads up class we have been running at my home track. my race weight will be between 3050 and 3150 i hope.
