what's your timing set at? do you have it locked out yet so there's no mechanical advance? i found 60' in that and some tuning.

set it to where it has 42* total timing...i bet money that'll wake it up some! just take your timing gun to the track and make one pass like that (after you make a couple of passes with the new powervalve in the car to get a good baseline)

Re: new best 8.090@85.04 in the 1/8mi
that's fine...which means that it's all in when you flash the converter, which is good. you want it to all come in on the launch...that's why so many folks lock out the mechanical advance, that means that all the timing is in all the time. mine is locked out at 42* all the time.

Re: new best 8.090@85.04 in the 1/8mi
42 seems high. with trick flow heads, he probly has good combustion chambers and it should like less total timing but you cant hurt anything by trying the timing mods. just my thoughts

Re: new best 8.090@85.04 in the 1/8mi
good point, i hadn't thought about that...i know my 305 with the 416's likes 42* and my dad's 350 with 200cc iron eagles also likes 42*, so i figured i'd share with him what my experience has shown me.

42deg seems like a lot for your motor.
