Re: my new times

Hell, i figgured those heads and cam with a stroker would put down more than 333 at the back tires, was that with the nitrous tune?

Re: my new times

60ft is probably typical for nitrous.. but i agree with mw66nova.. with a 60ft like that, you should be about 11.2 at 118..

i could run your time with my horrible high 1.6xx 60ft's.. so something is slowing you down somewhere.. with the extra .2 taken off the 60ft, it should be 11.2ish

Re: my new times

I wonder if the 700R4 low first gear is just helping him allot, the 1-2 shift does drop too much RPM for some cars.

Re: my new times

It was likely due to the 4000 stall converter skewing the dyno results.
I had posted on this a few times, vigilante had a good write-up about this
after many LS1 guys were dyno'ing before and after and losing 50 hp.
Unless you had it locked during - or if it forced locked part way through
will cause weird results.

dyno machines should only be used as a tuning tool

your right, but his stroker motor is making 25 less rwhp than mine is.... its just not what i would have expected. i was thinking the bowtie heads were decent.

take a stock LT1, put a different cam in it, and port the heads a little bit and you will have my motor. its easier to say it that way than to say "stock pistons, rods, crank, rings, bearings, oil pump, oil pan, lifters, compression ratio...."

Re: my new times

sorry forgot i posted in this thread, it makes 333 on the motor no bottle. when i had to 175 shot it was making right at 501 to the wheels. yesterday i was running 11.49-11.64@116-118 on 60fts in from 1.51-1.60. but i believe we found out why the motor breaks up on the big kits. after checking leak down and finding 15-50% im pretty sure we found the problem...

Re: my new times

Sounds identical to my car, 333 rwhp at the last dyno and 481 rwhp on bottle, 383, 3500 stall, 700r4, 3.73's 175 shot. My best on motor is 11.87 @ 113, 1.64 60ft and 10.76 @ 127, 1.60 60 ft on bottle.

I've got more head flow 28X@.600 and I weigh 3690, so things even out.
