New Best 8.61 @ 159
Went to cecil county to make a few shakedown passes on saturday. Here's the numbers from my best pass. This was only the 5th pass on the new setup and only the 2nd pass with the nitrous this year. Pass was made on drag radials through the mufflers at 3350 pounds. Had the car setup to leave pretty soft since I wasn't sure what the track would hold. Looking to improve these numbers a bit next weekend.

The only motor passes I made were 1/8 mile because the shutdown area was wet in the morning. It was real slow with the new converter. It leaves like a turd on motor. I had the wheelie bars on since I didn't know what it was gonna do. It dosen't leave nearly as violent as last year. I should be able to take them back off with a little tuneing.

Well thats good no more breakage or flat headers. Did you put the new ones yet or still have the hookers on it?

Yeah they helped. The new converter and cam made a differance as well I'm sure.

Damn How much nitrous do you spray? I was considering doing a 200+ shot once I get my bottom end built up on my other motor.

That pass was a 300 shot according to the jets. I had it setup really safe as far as timing and fuel pressure since it was the first pass,so it wasn't gaining its full potential. This weekend I plan to start dialing it in closer. Low 8.50's @ 160+ shouldn't be a problem with these jets.

Re: New Best 8.61 @ 159
With the cam and converter setup for the nitrous and the taller tires it slowed down N/A from the old combo. I only made a few 1/8 mile passes with this motor since the track was wet in the shutdown area in the morning and it went 6.52 @ 110. I figure it will go about 10.20 @ 138-140 on a full motor pass. It dosen't really get going till about 200 feet out on a motor pass.

I just picked up a job with Trans Specialties. First thing i saw when i went in was your picture on the wall. What has been your experience with there products? They seem to have thier stuff together wen it comes to racing converters.
