what will it run? new 3000 stall and trans
my old trans lost second gears. So im puting in another one and adding a b&m 3000 stall. My old stall would only let u foot break to 1600 rpm before the tire started spining. my cumbo is in sig and my best times and my best 60ft is 1.97. what will it run in the 1/4 mile and 60ft times u think?

3000 stall is HUGE over 2200 with a cammed motor. i'd say you should be no worse than high 1.7 60 foots and run mid high 12's with that motor.
sounds alot hotter than my bolt on L98 and i have 2800 stall 3.42's and pull mid 1.7's and run 13.2's in good weather. 13.4's in the heat. i'd say i'd have 12.9's with 3200 stall or so. i want to re stall my converter to 3400.
so a change in converter makes a difference...but also think you should be atleast 1.8's in the 60 as is with that setup on good tires and a prepped track

id look into a edge or vigilante conveter there a 9.5" converter more then likely the B&M mass produced junk converter is a 12" converter. Only thing b&m has that is worth buying is there trans coolers.

another member suggested i get a converter from ptcrace.com i talked to one of their techs and i also talked to Andre at Edge and they say the same thing. Another member here named Bluegrass something said he knows guys that run them. Their converters run about 400 bones or so i will prolly go with them

Re: what will it run? new 3000 stall and trans
i've always like PTC converters, they do just a good of a job as the $1000 cnverters and are about half the price. Edge converters are good for the less agressive, which would be the case here. Depending on the duration of the cam i could see a 3-3600 stall working out well. For the record i DD a 4000 stall solid roller cammed car for 2 years.

That B&M is a good converter. It worked well in an 88 IROC with it did low 1.6 60's motor was a 350 with afr190's, zz409 cam, and Superram with that same motor in an 86 Vette it did 1.5 60's
