track estimates
hey guys, 1989 iroc-z 305-5spd car here
curious what this thing should be running in the 1/4, i took it to the track once and best time was a 15 flat due to poor driving , poor track prep, and raped rear tires.
the times was a 15 flat, 60 ft mark was a horrendus 2.43 sec and it trapped at 91.5 mph
anyways heres the specs of the mild mods it has,
edelbrock headers, 3in borla catback, 22lb hour injectors, k&n filters, center force clutch, 180 fan switch, afpr set at 38 lbs at idle, posi 3.08 or 3.23 rearend just did the spin test), airfoil, and aluminum driveshaft.
basically im just wondering what it should have ran if i had good track prep, good weather and good tires.
propably should cut at least 2.0 60 fter i'd guess, i figured a 14.5 or so anyways?
btw how many tenths would a msd ignition system and 1.6 full rollers pull off of it in the 1/4 you guys think (im hoping for a real low 14 maybe a high 13 with d/rs come spring).

Re: track estimates
91 mph should be mid to high 14's. If you can't get the power to the ground, 500hp won't even run 12's. Guessing at what it "might" run means nothing. Never mind the engine, work on traction first.
