Got a 355ci LO5 for FREE!, going in car tomorrow.
Putting a rebuilt LO5 in my IROC_ 355ci 9.8:1(Flattops), align bored, .010/.010 crank, surfaced block and heads, new valve springs(Z28), 3-angle valve job, Aluminum LG4 intake adapter and 4776 600 double pumper, L69 dual snorkel air cleaner, 1-1/2" shorties, 2-1/2" y-pipe, 2-1/2" exhaust, High flow cat, flowmaster muffler....Motor has approximately 25,000miles.
Motor was totally FREE! My buddies dad gave it to me. He was saving from his old truck FOR his present truck, BUT, he was tired of seeing it sitting around. So... I "got rid of it".
This is a temporary setup until I finish porting my Vortec's and save some for screw-in studs, guideplates and 918 Beehives with Texas Speed Titanium retainers. I am also NOT building a shortblock now as I have a Flattop piston 355ci now in excellent shape.
I dont know what it will run, but we will see what it runs "stock" and then with Longtubes and x-pipe, and a gear, and then with Heads and Cam package.
Sorry for the book, just bored and trying to share my excitement.
Oh yeah, What you think it will run with the "Stock L05", probably low 14's, and about 200-215 rwhp... through a T5 and a 3.08 10bolt. I also have lakewood LCA's on it.

Dropped a bolt, or something, in to the #6 cylinder. Dont know if I or my buddy did it, or if it happened when the previous owner pulled the motor, or if its even a bolt. Anyway, got pull the head.
