without knowing your trap speed we have no idea what to pick. I went 4.11 gears and 28" tire, knowing that it would be cheaper to swap to 27" slicks if needed that swapping gear sets out. With 7k for a redline and no power adder you could probably go 4.56 just guessing off the top of my head.

Re: How to determine right rear gear ratio??

just go with 7.33's!!!
hahahaha just kidding.. you'll top out at 80..

i vote for 4.56's

i did calculations and stuff for my car.. when budget allows, i'll be heading to 4.30's for myself.. i top at 6500..

for you, at 7k(maxing out, highest you will go), in fourth(i'm guessing 1:1 for the tko), 28" tire, 4.56 gear, you will be doing 127mph.. more than enough for mid 12's, good till low 10's actually.. you should be trapping around or just above 6000 rpm.. thats 109+mph..

4.88's will push you to 119mph at 7k.. but if you go for more power later on, you may run out of gear one day..
