Calling all those with gutted dashes!
I am going to gut my dash and i figured it would be a pretty trick idea to mount all of the electronics under the dash pad on the firewall, i was just wondering if i could get a pic with the dashpad off so i can see what kind of room i had to work with. i'd have an msd box, window switch and progressive controller as well as 3 relays. pics would be nice!! thanks

any chance anyone can take a picture looking down (top view) that would be awesome. i figure if i have 4" of clearance between the pass side of the dash and the firewall (wires routed through the a/c holes) that i should be able to do it, thanks for the pics greezemonkey, your CD is the shiz! i love them et drags!

I only have the dash pad. Everything else is gone. My roll cage has the knee bar. A tube that goes across to join the a-pillar bars. I changed my dash pad this winter when I had the windshield out. This time I cut slots in the pad to go around the a-pillar bars. It had to go in from the front so when the windshield was out, it was much easier to do. No pics of the new dash pad yet.
I mounted some 3/8" brake line as a support for the dash pad. I then used some sheet aluminum to make a dash. There's little 3/8" brake line on the ends and 2 in the middle to support the bottom of the aluminum.
