another .. what will it run
Getting ready to finish up my build, its a 388 stroker. It has .060 forged 12:5 pistons (but heads were milled .003" and block was square decked so may have abit more then that),forged 6" rods, forged crank 3.750" stroke,Dart 215/64 cc chamber gasket match along with matching dart intake,Solid roller cam 294 *50 and 600 lift, roller 1.6 rockers, all mallory ignition and a 850 quick fuel carb .. also internal balance. car weights 3250 with out me but with a full tank of gas. I have 4.10's with a locker and axels and girdle for the rear (not gonna dump cash into it cause its a 7.5) and I have a th400 with 3500 stall with trans break (and other goodies to make her stout) and got a set of 28:11.5 hoosier coming before I take it to the track ... what would it run .. hope around high 11's (if lower better)
----------
I guess this would help .. have heddman long tubes and true duel 3" exhaust with dynomax bullets

You leave on the transbrake with that motor and the 7.5 rear end and you'll run right back on the trailer. seriously though Should run some mid to low 7's in the 1/8th if the rear don't let go.

Yea the rear is gonna be changed over to a moser 9" or 12 bolt (probably in late May .. I'm getting ready to get a house so I will have to hold off on the car for afew months but .. main things are all most finished right now) I work for a local machine shop and my co-workers said it should do pretty good (traction being an issue)
I know she isnt much to look at but .. paint will be the last thing (give me about a year) anywho thanks for all the replies everyone!

Wow nice setup
the rear will bust the first time you try to put it under load....
Otherwise you have a low 11 high 10 second car....
Lets see some slips once you get the rear in!!!!
Good luck with it

You should be in the low 11's to high 10's depending on how well your suspension hooks. If you are still running stock springs, struts LCA's ect. your 60' probably won't be too good. Your combination is very similar to mine but I have less compression and no trans-brake, check out my signature.

My suspension is lakewood drag shocks 50/50 in rear and struts 90/10 in front, moroso trick spings (cut 1 coils to get ride hight) lac relocation brackets and lakewood boxed lca's (and poly bushings) .. I'm still not done yet but ... its getting there (been a long road lol) OH and yes I have frame ties (hotchiks for anyone woundering)
