Limiting from suspension travel

What methods has anyone used to limit the up travel in the front suspension. I have quite a bit and when it comes to the end of travel just as it jerks the front wheels up it transfers a shot to the rear and in slow motion you can watch the left rear tire take a real beating and wrinkles up more than I would like. So,,, I would like to experiment with limiting the travel.

I don't limit mine. If I was racing in something like Super Gas where you want to keep the front end down as much as possible, I'd install limiters. I need the weight transfer.

It sounds like you need to fine tune your rear suspension first.

I run chains on my front end. I have a chain from the frame to the A arm with about an inch of travel. You can see in my sig pic how the wheels don't drop when it leaves.

thank 1bad406 I thought maybe you had by your pic. Where did you chain from and too. I was looking around and there is a few holes in the K member. A likely spot on the a arm looks like where the sway bar used to hook in. I haven't looked real hard as to whether it could come down from the spring pocket.

on the back side of each A arm on the outside. If you turn my driver side wheel all the way to the right, you can look in there and see the chain. There is a flat spot up top where the frame is, where the spring goes up, you can get in behind it and put a grade 8 bolt and nut on it. Then just let the chain hang down and drill your other hole in the a arm so that the chain is kinda tight cause it will stretch after several runs. I'll get a picture up soon.
