Made 30 passes this weekend...New Best
With all of our rain outs, we had our first 2 points races this weekend (and a friday night streel legal night). I ran in both Sportsman (11.50 class) and Street. I lost the final in SM and the semis in Street yesterday. Didn't fair so well today in eliminations but ran a new best. This is an all asphalt track with density altitude in the 2900-3700 range today.
Best pass: 11.79@ 114.2, 1.64 60' ->DA corrected for comparative purposes only: 11.38 @ 118.39)
And yes, I made 7 passes on Friday night, 13 yesterday and 10 today. 30 passes and then I drove it the 10 miles back home.

Stock springs and shocks. Sway bar in tact. Boxed CAs, Hotchkis panhard bar, subframes and 235/60/15 ET radials. I have air bags but didn't fill them. I also just got some Sphon LCARBS that I will install and maybe pop my front sway bar off for the next go round.

Yep, thats the ticket. Our chassis setups are very similar. My arms are only "boxed" as well. I have the Spohn brackets, and my best is a 1.54 60'. The air bag will not be effective with the spohn brackets. That car definatley has more in it..IMO.

Congrats on making the Sportsman final on Saturday and setting a new personal best.
Put the Vic jr intake on, the lcarbs, drop the front sway bar, take out some weights and you should see an 11.50 with a good air day.

I had a Vic Jr. on the motor at the last test and tune and it ran the the exact same corrected times. Granted, I only got a few passes and didn't touch my carb though. I had an oil leak and thought it might be the intake so I changed back before the big race in June (which was rained out). I'd like to put it back on and tune for it.

This winter will be something like a 9" with 4.30s and 28" tires.

This is an asphalt track so the bite itsn't quite as hard. How many guys have gone sub 1.60s on their stock 10 bolts? Mine doesn't have axles or a girdle.

Yea, I would say "dont push it". I broke three 10 bolts. One with my 305 TPI, the other two, with the 355 TPI. Actually the third one did not TOTALLY die. They were behind a stick at the time, though. They seem to live behind autos better. When my third one started making noise, I ordered my Currie 9".
