1st win at home track since '03

After 3 runners-up this year, I finally won a race. Took 7 rounds. This was the Street ET series, a Summit ET qualifying series. #'s 1 & 2 in season points coming into the night went out in the first round, #3 in the 3rd, I was in 4th place, 6 rounds behind 1st, 4 behind 3rd, so this should move me into first.

Still a lot of season left (3 races remaining), but this was the first race I've won at the home track since 2003, and the first time I can remember being in first place season points since 2001 (and that was earlier in the season).

Nice work. You're on fire lately.

Did your son race? And only 3 races left? We haven't even got one race in yet this year.

It's been a wild 2 weekends. I've gone 24-3 rounds since last Friday.

My son was out, but bulbed in the first round. I think the car slipped in the beams after he staged. Need to look at the Camaro brakes before next Friday.

Indeed it does.

I got to thinking about it, and I believe this is the first money series race I've won here. All of the others were for trophies. Still, 1st place in this series pays $50 less than runner-up did in last Saturday's race (but it's the only one I can afford the time to run in regularly, so. . . ).
