Race day tomorrow

It's that time again, time to see how much slower I can get my car to run Going to be pretty dang warm starting out, probably mid to low 90's Nitrous should be working better with 1 psi of fuel taken out, too much fuel pressure last time by mistake. LCA's are now boxed and are in the bottom hole of the relocation brackets. Friend of mine is hopefully going to take a lot more video since he wont be running his car this time.

I'd be very happy to get in the low 12's again after running so crappy last year after April. Started chasing it down last month and got my mph back up near my best. Hope I can best my nitrous run too, need to get a 10.98 to shut my buddy up He ran 10.99 last year and wont let me forget it. I'll post results when I get back late Saturday night.

man, good luck to ya! i know you been chasing that thing all over the place with problems. looks like you've got the suspension squared around. did you ever get some sfc's? does the car have a roll-bar yet? i know your wanting to go fast and all, but running 10's without a roll-bar is asking to get hurt.

anyhow, i hope you do well, and please update as soon as you get in tonight!

No roll bar or sfc yet. I was going to build some connectors during the week but work picked up and didn't have the time. I need to buy a car trailer really quick like but after that I'll be putting in a roll bar. The friend I've been borrowing a trailer from is going to be needing it more since he got a couple of quads. Matter a fact, he's got it right now and will be returning it an hour before I have to go grr.

it's only 1:30 over there on the west coast isn't it....i was about to say, "hey man, aren't you suppposed to be at the track!"

good luck bro, but please be safe. NHRA used to have the roll bar rules set at 11.99 instead of 11.49. if i break into the 11's, i'll be putting in a bar, regardless if it's faster than 11.49 or not. definitely better safe than sorry.

He should be back any time now with the trailer but knowing him, he'll be here after 3pm grr need to leave town at 4:30 at the latest. All my stuff is packed in the truck and the car is ready to load up. When I ran that 11.55 that was before the rule change and they stopped me on the return road and said I need a jacket. They're pretty relaxed where I go, if you run quicker than your suppose to they just say slow it down. Told them during tech last month if I ran quicker than 11.49 I'll just take the bottle out and they were fine with it. But yeah, I really need to get a bar in the car quick like.

Well that was a big waste of time. On the track's website they had diesel truck pulling for during the day and street legal drags at night. Friend and I get to the gate to pay and it's 4x as much to race. Turned around and went sight seeing instead then headed home. Freakin special event crap. July 15th is the next time I'll be able to head up there.

Things will have to wait a little bit, taking a trip to AZ for the 4th. After that it'll be a trailer for the first thing on the to get list. Also need to find some lower sitting seats to get my head away from the roll bar. As it is now, my helmet taps the t-tops going down the track.
