what mph should I be aiming for?

with combo in sig, when i get it to the track. im thinking with the aid of nitrous, i should hit low 11's.

without nitrous, high 11's

any idea what kind of mph i can get? im trying to figure it out so i can decide best gearing for this 700r4.

anyone else in the 11's with a 700r4? what gearing and tire size do you run? im expecting max hp @ around 6k rpm.

i want the 4.11's but afraid it may be too much so i may have to stick with 3.73's

I`d go no higher than 3.73...with the stealth ram you`ll be able to get away with those, the 4.10`s might work fine if your doing 1/8 mile without No2 but you gear lower for nitrious usually. If you put a 28 tire under it you also might get away with the 4.10`s but for N/A only I`d think. MPH with the 3.73 on 26" tires on the bottle I`d be shooting for 120+ or so.
I had 4.10`s in my car...700r4 with a 9 inch 3,000 and all the torque you`d want...26 inch tires with bite, it all equaled out 7,500+ going thru the lights with a motor that peaks around 6,700. Launch with those gears are tricky too, at least with 26er`s out back.

For low 11's I would expect around 120mph assuming that your car hooks up well. Be careful spraying hyper pistons. With the mods in your signature I would expect low to mid 12's N/A, the 3in exhaust and shorty headers are probably starting to become a bottle neck for you.

Low 11s 120-123 mph I think the 3.73 gear will work best esp with a 700r4 first gear.

thank you guys. the 3.73's let me peak aroudn 123mph @ 6k rpm. so if i do hit a little higher mph, i still got another 500rpm i could safely turn the engine.

Make sure you consider torque converter slippage in the equation.

Do you lock the converter up?

I think those are kinda optimistic #'s in a combo that hasn't been run yet.
Low 11's is tough to accomplish unless you're planning a big 150+ shot I'd think.
I've got no idea what it will run n/a, guessing low 12's at best, but the difference the nitrous has will not have the impact it had when you were going high-low 13's once you are deep into 12's, unless you are going with a bigger shot.
Definitely wouldn't utilize the 4.10's though is what I'm also getting at.
What're the 3.42's good for that you have now?

thats the same motor combo i plan on running.. except different brand heads... but 195 cc as well, that will have similar flow

that combo is EASILY 450 crank hp.. making peak near 6000 rpms. that combo will run well.

similar combo but with next size up cam (236/244) in that TPI shootout mag made 500 crank hp.

450 on crank will put down near 400whp and should be more than enough to do high 11's in the mid 1-teens. i seen a combo like that on this board that did 11.8's at 116. a 100-150 shot should push that easily into the low 11's at 120+.
your talkin near 500whp on spray. thats plenty for 10's in the right car

thanks for the benifit of doubt. before I track it, i will have a 3500 stall and it is a lockup 'verter. and del, the 3.42's have me hitting 130ish mph at 6k. and i hit the finish line around 5200 rpm, too low for my application.
