going to the track
well guys im going to the local track to see what the car will do with the t56 and the 1.6 rockers and new computer tune. hoping for 13's. this car is a whole different animal with the t56 and the other stuff. i am having trackion issues so i will be happy with lhigh 13's but will have to see. i will post the slip of my best time. wish me luck
oh yeah ran 14.5 with bad tune 2 bad injectors and wore out tranny so i think 13's is attainable.

well went and the best time was 13.67 at 104.44 spinning tires 1st and 2nd. so i should be able to get it to low 13's with slicks and shifting better. well just wanted to post that, that and i broke a rollar rocker arm so if any one has one for sale let me know. needless to say its still at the track going to go get it today to see the real damage

yeah sean, i went 13.03@103.3mph, 104.4mph is good enough for high 12's if'n you can drive the snot out of it! though i must say, with slicks and traction, you will not trap that high, but your et will drop dramatically.

First it's a rocker and pushrod now you need tires, sheesh? Had the same thing happen to me last year. When the rocker was loose, I went slower by nearly 2 tenths and 1 mph. Broken pushrod was all I needed to fix it.

if i cant find any tires for a reasonable price i guess i will have to just use the street tires again. see what i can do with the track being warm, it was a cold night when i went with no traction. so i will have to see.

the pro 5.0 shifter can be bought through jegs or summit.
just let me know when you want me to weld those up...get some 16 gauge steel from lowes and bring them over and i'll weld them up for ya...the lca relocation brackets can be had through Spohn, for about $60(ish?), and i can weld those on too, just throw me a few bones...
----------
just looked at spohn, they want $65 for the relocation brackets

for the relocation brackets? buy them, i don't know where to get 1/4" steel yet in the area. but the 16G steel is for boxing the lca's.
edit, now this skin for the website is frickin' cool!

i'm sure they'll get it squared around as far as the search thing goes...there are alot of really cool things on here though! don't like not having peoples cars under the user names and avatars.

yeah, i've got them on my car too, but i plan on starting to make my own for my "clients" cars, seeing as i have a template under my car. not that i want to take away from Steve, as i really like his stuff, but i can make these, so, i will, for the cost of the steal(once i find a source) and a little for labor to put them onto the rearend.

Making your own parts is great but IMO knocking off someone else's parts and then talking about profiting off them on a board where he is the sponsor is in bad taste.

whether you buy them from Steve, BMR, Wolfe, or me does it really matter? i told sean to buy them from spohn. i have no plans on advertising on here, nor am i say to come to me to make him a set. i said he could buy them, bring them to me, and for a nominal labor charge, i would install them. i had to pay to go to welding school...that's why i charge for fabrication.
no where in any of my posts have i ever said "come to me to buy your spohn knock-offs for a price-break" nor will i ever say that. spohn makes EXCELLENT products and i will continue to support him by sending my clients there, till i can get to a point were i can make my own stuff.

I wasn't trying to make mw66nowa look bad, I just interpreted the above to mean that he had actual Spohn's on his car and was going to replicate them for other people.
I apoligize if that is not the case and I misunderstood.

i AM going to replicate them, but not advertise that i am. but if you look at all the other lca relocation brackets, they are all the same. so i don't think that using a template is going to be a bad thing. 2" down, 1" foward, that's the dimensions. for all you know, people bring me steel, i make them something, and for payment, i get fed dinner...which happens ALL THE FRICKIN TIME! I MAKE SO LITTLE MONEY DOING THIS CAUSE I'M A NICE FRICKIN GUY AND WANT TO HELP MY FELLOW FRICKIN' THIRDGENNERS OUT.

I think by saying you are going to replicate them in your post you are advertising that fact.

nowhere did i ever say that i would be making them and selling them though, and that would be advertising.
