seem right? drag racing time

hey all jus wanted to see if i got the act together on this car. my car is a 88 gta. was naturally aspirated with 355 tpis/afr 195 heads. acording to tpis they're 50 cc chambers which takes me to 12.5:1. tpis mini ram with cold air intake. zz9 cam from tpis and 1:6 rockers. roughly est. bout 350-375 at flywheel im guessing. according to desk top dyno should be around 425 but i dont believe it. anyways its the 700 turbo with 3000 stall convertor 3.27 rear runnin stock 3760 car weight on drag radials. note: car still has power steering, a/c, etc. and has stage 5 chip also from tpis. hooking up hard i ran 8.87 on the 1/8th. with stock radials somewhat spinning (not bad) i ran 8.63 in 1/8th. and 13.77 1/4 mile.

i think it should of done better but you guys tell me what u think

96? I'd say fix your gas problem. You should be trapping 105+. imo that cam isn't good for mid-low 12s really, but your setup should carry u into the low 13s maybe high 12s.

Your set up should perform better with some 3.70 gears or higher and I think TPIS suggest that you run 3.73 gears anyway. But other than the rich condition you run well into the 12's on slicks and low 13's on street tires.

My old set up was similar with 3.70 and 3500 stall , but I had the ZZ409 cam and I ran 12.4X all day with 1.7X short times. So you need some tuning done.

yea i know...definatly gotta drop my compression. They're claimin i can keep it on pump gas and get a 85%+ hp increase. of course i gotta run an intercooler and relocate the battery and all that junk. i extreamly dout my borg warner 9 bolt will hold up either so i'm planning on converting to a 9 inch ford rear from strange engineering

lol yeah it'll snap that 7.75inch ring gear like nothing LOL

i suggest you get your car figured out N/A before you dump boost on it. And make sure to get it dynotuned before you go whomping on it. And I doubt you'll get it to push 20 PSI on 91 octane pump gas.
