Fastest NA dual plane car

A friend and I were talking the other day and wondered what the fastest naturally aspirated dual plane cars on this site are. I the fastest I can think of might be one of the Vortec/RPM/274 combos in the high 11s.

I was saying that I was going to try swithing to a Vic Jr. this spring but was curious to what others have done with a divided plenum.

I think your combo could be faster as is. 406 w/ 11:1, AFR's, solid roller.... I'd guess closer to low 11.0 instead of 12.0. Sorry to be off topic.

Im sure being in Canada, that he just might be in a high altitude area. Its STILL an 11 second car. And at 3600 lbs, its no lightweight either.

there is a guy in my club, NJFBOA, that runs low 11's with a performer rpm and vortec heads. i am not sure what cam he has, the car doesn't ahve much weight reduction either.
we get to cheat a few months out of the year here in jersey, we usually have a month or so of negative DA's at each end of our season

Typical DA is 2500-4000'.

The car does have more in still. I haven't really hung it out yet either. It hasn't really seen much above 6000 rpm.

There is likely a few more mph in it, but the trap speed is a bit high for the ET. I need to get that 60' down and consistant. I think I'll be getting a new TC, swapping intakes, and putting cutouts after the collectors.

If you consider one single pass at 11.999 an 11 sec. car, then yes, he has an 11 sec. car. On average its a tenth for every 1000' of elevation. I still think there's A LOT more in his combo, even at 3600#s. That thing should make well over 500fwhp.
