its beggin for headers and stall.

i think you COULD break a high 13 on a great launch, but low 14's would be the norm for now without the stall and headers

and if you havent, gut your airbox by cuttin out the bottoms of where the filters sit. but leave the center bar section for filter support.

14.2's id say. Next your going to need headers, and a better intake manifold. BTW on your web site it says u have tb bypass and a hypertech chip....i guess u forgot to list a few things.

Edit:

I also have gutted the airboxes
TB Bypass (if it matters)
It has a mail order chip in it aswell. I believe hypertech.

I plan on headers, prob some hooker 2055's since I can't afford SLP's, although I would like some 1 3/4.

I'm not sure on the stall converter though. How hard is the install. I could possibly put it in at school where I have access to a lift and trans. jack. Is it possible to unbolt the tranny while leaving the driveshaft on, sliding it over on the jack, put on the stall, prep it with all the fluids first and all, then bolting the tranny back up?

Ya, if you get those mods youd probably run the same times as me.

Well I doubt I would run mid 13s consider you have tons more mods than I do, but with headers and stall and a good 60 ft, who knows?

Btw, ur car is sweet. I don't much care for those hoods, but on your car it looks nice.

put all the stock intake stuff back on, add a wasted tranny (didin't shift 2-3 right ever, failed outright later on) with a race weight of 3710 and you've got my '87 formula.

It's run 13,59@100

I find that hard to believe unless your racing like 3000 ft below sea level some how.

Sorry... have timeslips.

also have track video of the car running roughly 14.0@98 on a 98* day with no front end on it and some stock firebird wheels and tires on it (had to let go of the throttle a little before the finish line because all the air catching under the nose with no front end on it was causing the hood to try to come off at that speed...)

I got a box of recipts from him with every little bit of that car documented. It did get some factory replacement heads at 7K miles (originals supposedly had bad valve guides), but no other work doen to it and everything that I've had appart confirms it.

Thats where your going to see your biggest gain. You cannot go wrong with headers.

I think headers are one of the best mods you can do. With a good cat-back system [which you have] your car will sound awesome.

I don't mind paying the few hundred bucks for the headers for the performance/sound, I just don't want to put them in. How was the install for you guys?

I sent mine out to a shop. Pretty much took them the whole day to install them.

It was not bad at all. I couple rough spots, but you just have to take your time. Although you might want to ask someone with a V belt setup. My driver side was cake. I had it done in 15 minutes.

Did you have to take out your plugs? What did you use? A swivel joint and extension or could you reach them with an air ratchet?

I did it with the plugs in. I reached them all with a socket and ratchet. I don't believe I used a swivel. The stock heat shields on the manifolds will most likely give you trouble also. They were a pain.

Did you cut the air tube lines? I mean, if your just gonna toss the manifolds out, why not remove them and give you some room.
