New best tonight...

I am alittle confused on the times. How can I run a faster mph but a slower e/t and 60 foot?

Run 1...

R/t - -.017 (whoops, lol)
60' - 1.919
330' - 5.485
1/8 - 8.435
1/8 mph - 83.00
1000 - 11.005
1/4 - 13.181
1/4 mph - 103.73

Run 2...

R/t - .061
60' - 2.006
330' - 5.556
1/8 - 8.482
1/8 mph - 83.96
1000 - 11.018
1/4 - 13.160
1/4 mph - 105.43

I am guess shift points but I shifted dead on 6000 (the motor loves that number for some reason.)

Since last year when I ran 13.4s I have put a 2100 stall, went to a 27x10 tire, and new cap and rotor.....

Thanks

Are you spinning the tires at all?

Actually, unknown_host's question is the answer - your tires were slipping off the line.

Do the math on the intervals - you'll see your 2nd run picked up after the 60'.

No, I didn't feel any slipping those two runs. On another run I came out of the hole compleatly sidways but that times was the only spin of the night and I still ran a 13.207 at 104.38 mph.

I ran 13.16, 13.18, 13.20 (wheel spin), and 13.24(advanced the timeing alot.)

I"m new to this site but I have an 85 camaro that I run at the strip in my home town,Paris,TX. I had alot of trouble with mine hooking up off of the line until I went to some 29.5-13.5-15 mickey thomson et streets. But if you are hooking up good ,and you dont drive your car long distance I would consider a plastic or aluminum fuel cell if you haven't already.
We dont have a full quarter mile track, so we only get to run an 1/8. heres What mine normally runs.

60' --- 1.80
330'---5.32
1/8 ---8.35
1/8 ---82 mph

I have flat tops, stock rods, .490 cam, rpm performer intake with slightly modifyed center bolt holes, stock 86' vortec heads, 650 holly, tci 700 r4, and 3.42's in the rear. But I have never had it on a 1/4 of a mile track.

You would go alot faster with a shorter tire. If you run like a 27 or 28x10 tire you should be able to hook up and the shorter side will help your ratio.

Sounds like me and you have just about the same base setup. I am running the 1/8 mile faster mph wise but your turning better tires.

These tires were tough to find because I needed them right then but I think I will try to get some ahead of time next go around. Preferably a smaller size like you mentioned.

Thanks for the input.
