What kind of times do you fellas think I will run in the spring. I have a 406 small block with crappy 882 heads, 280adv 230@.050" .480" lift cam, zz4 aluminum intake, barry grant speed demon 750 vs carb, hedman 1 5/8" long tubes, dual 2.5" exhaust, 700r4 with a 3200 stall, 3.08 gears, and street tires

i would say mid 13's or so. just a guess, but your heads are really hurting you. better gears would be nice too, and a cam with bit more lift, like a hydro roller or solid roller. a cam like that with better intake manifold and heads to flow enough will really open up that car LOL just my thoughts.

I am going to get new heads and a new intake manifold next summer when I get the money. I will also be getting a set of 3.73 gears then. Until then, I will just have to work with what ive got.

Mid 13's sounds about right. At one time there was a 406 in my bird . It had a similar cam but dart 2 sportsman heads and ran 13.4 @105 with no traction. It had 3.73s though. I only ran it that one time because it hydrolocked on the next run. It would have gone low 13's high 12's if I had more time with it. My buddy had a 4 speed 1970 nova with a 408 and Iron eagles with a small solid cam that ran low 12's with 3.08s
