Ran the RS....
Hey everyone jsut got back from the track well not too bad but not to great. When i leave the line i leave at about 2200, and I mash it, it goes threw the gears very well but i dont like the top end. The car ran 15.68@94.88 it 60 footed quite well for a stock suspension and mostly stock motor, on 245's it 60 footed 2.03, almsot dead hook but a little bit of spin. What do i need to accomplish for better top end pull, after 3700 my car is jsut numb., Should i build new motor or find a different car to cut up?

If this is a stock RS, then the best bang/buck will be to build a different motor.
The LO3 is hampered by poor induction, poor heads, poor cam, cylinder wall shrouding, poor exhaust, and small displacement. Kind of like an LG4. Where do you want to start?
If this is primarily a daily driver, you can improve it and retain reasonable driveability and economy characteristics. The boys over on the TBI forum will be the place to find out about that.
If you're going for a weekend warrior and aren't too concerned about its road manners, then you might as well start with a different engine and induction.

Those numbers don't add up to me.
60' 2.03, real good. Car launched pretty good.
15.68 Sounds about right for that engine with some modifications.
94.88 mph, that trap speed is in the neighborhood of a 14.68 run with a good launch.
Sure this wasn't a G tech run?
