mickey thompson sportsman "I" tires????
has anyone here ever used mickey thompson sportsman "I" tires before? how do they perform at the track? i was thinking of getting a pair of 345/50 tires of these or 275/60 nitto drag radials for my daily driver in the signature. i tried asking a similar question on the suspension/chassis forum, but i havent gotten any replies . here is a link to the specs page on them:

Old school tires. I guess these could have been called "cheater slicks" in the old days. They give a metric equivalent size but they're still classified as a N50-15. I remember those sizes from back in the 70's.
They're more of a nostalgia look if you want to build an old car to look like that. There are many better tire styles to chose from. You'd be better off with some Sportsman Pro tires instead of those.

would 28x12.5 sportsman pros hook better than 275/60 nitto drag radials or the other way around? the sportsman pros would be about 2" wider.
edit: oh, and about how many miles could i get out of the sportsman pros with an occasional trip to the track and easy street driving?
