Larry Rhodes Camaro

Dear Camaro lovers,

I am so curious to find something out. Can you help me? I want to know the approximate HP of a specific car. It belongs to Drag Racer Larry Rhodes. It is not a third gen- its a first Gen. It is a 1968 Camaro. Evidently, this car is very fast. It said on his website that the track time was 9.25 @ 148MPH. I presume that this is the quarter mile time. I believe I read somewhere else that the car weighs apx 3200 pounds. The transmission is a Powerglide, and the motor is a 406. However, I do not know the rear end ratio of the vehicle. Given these numbers, can anyone tell me the apx horsepower of the car, and maybe torque figures? Thanks so much.

For a 3200 pound car with driver to run 9.25 at 148 mph, it has to be producing 800-810 hp.

If it's even heavier then it's making more HP.
