Estimate ET's with engine specs??

I'm probably going to buy a complete LT1 from a guy in Austin. All I know are the specs. Can you tell me what kind of HP i should expect once it's in? It will be mated with my 700R4 with shift kit.
95 lt1 .030 over flat top hypereutectic
pistons,LT4 cam,aluminum cyl heads,port matched intake
and heads, complete, intake to oil pan. wiring harness
from 96 firebird,pcm from 96 imp ss,acc brackets from
b-body and f-body .20k on engine.had new waterpump and
optispark when rebuilt
What do ya think? Worth a grand?

I'd say that you're lookin at a good 360-375 horsepower. Just a guess though, i did most of the figuring in my head......

Thanks. Sounds like a vast improvement over the stock LO3 huh? Would a cc306 cam and a upgraded ignition system make much of a difference?

Both answers depend on what kind of "aluminum cyl heads" are on it. Do you know?

Unless you meant the LT4 HOT cam I don't see it getting anywhere near 350+hp... With the standard LT4 cam I see nothing else there to boost that much. Port matching will be minimal gain. You don't mention headers, with them, the standard LT4 cam, LT1 heads unported other than matched, I'd peg you around 330hp, mid/low 13s in the quarter just guestimating...

I don't know what kind of heads are on it. As for headers, I'm thinking about SLP 1 3/4" and y-pipe. I'm thinking about changing the cam to the CC306 (TexasLT1's recommendation). In the future, I might go as far as LT4 AFR heads and ported LT4 intake. Any suggestions or comments please. Thanks,

On a side note, does anyone have any suggestions on which torque convertor to get? I've tried in the tranny board, but no takers yet. Thanks,

Almost everyone here will say to get a Vigilante converter but if you are like me I don't have $800. A guy in my group has a 95 Formula and he put in a Huges converter with 2500 stall. He said it was a major kick in the pants. I think he gained about .4 in the 1/4. He bought it here from a local speed shop for $155. I am getting one next. Like Tuesday.
I will be there about the mid or end of march. It will be nice to see some third genners out there.

Hughes makes some of the best products in the business and are by no means a cheap alternative. Their 3000 converters go for upwards of $270.

Well $270 is much better than $735 for the Vigilante.
BTW, should I get one that locks up or not? This will likely be my daily driver, and MPG and streetability is a concern.

What about this one?

That one looks a little big. I may be wrong though.
Get a lock up style.

If you have priced non lockup converters for turbo 350's, you can get a noname POS for $99.

By streetable, I mean that I'd like to get atleast 20 MPG highway. I was thinking that a T56 might be the only way to do that, since the 6th gear is great for highway mileage. As for my budget, well. I only for for 2 months at a time (college GM program) at $7 a day and 40 hours a week. But I don't have a any bills...except for a girlfriend . I can probably save up enough, over a period of time. If that doesn't answer your question, see my poll in the engine swap board.
