The car felt very fast this day. I always see traps in the 102, 103mph range running mid or low 13s. So what's the deal with me? I should be running mid to low 13s right?
My 60' really sucked too. This is on a blown LB9, 3:23s, stock internals,5spd.
Clutch is screwed up though...

hey bro. 2.5 60' I think. Maybe worst. I'll dig up the slip.
not sure on 1/8mile i'll check that too
SN92 paxton supercharger @ about 8lbs. I left the car in 3rd gear through the traps
So If i got a good launch I'd do mid 13s?

I have a trap of mid 102s, and I am runing 13.2s consistently. This is with a 1.79-1.80 60's. So with a 1.9 you should see a 13.3-13.4! Looks like a good mph you have working, and I can attest you have a second to gain in that car! Good luck!

Had a 90 Mustang that would run 102 trap speeds, my best time in it was a 13.13 on Nitto drag radials. Only mods under the hood were pulleys, K&N panel filter in stock air box and the p/s, smog and a/c removed. I should have kept that car!

ok, now i'm getting angry ! You guys are putting down killer 1/4mile times and my 1/4mile time sucks (for my trap!) I can launch this car pretty well, but the car didnt hook.
The 14.2@102.7 was done on street tires. I started off in 1st and didnt even get on it until 2nd. So maybe it could be an even higher mph.
The second time I went to the track I had nitto DR's. Warmed them up. Launched car didnt go anywhere. (clutch went).
It is one thing after another! I will never see 13s!!!!!!! It was also pretty embarassing going 20mph down the track after the clutch went.

Your mph will prabably be even higher if you can get it to hook.Get some drag radials!!!!!! I promise you the 1st time you hook with them and nail you to your seat(literally) you will see the e.t.s you are looking for.......maybe even better than you expect.

Got a pair of 275/50x15 DR's for sale. New this spring, only used them for 6 DOT-required races this year (<40 passes).
I'm suffering the same syndrom with the '57. Guys with similar weight/gears/engine/transmission setups (but with 454s) are going one or two MPH faster than me, but are a good second quicker than me.
New Hoosier Quicktime Pro DOT slicks and higher stall converter will be put to the test for the first time tomorrow. We'll see what that does to my times.

Here's my deal. With my current f'd up engine, 219/AFR/SR 383, I ran a 14 flat at 101 with a 2.35 60ft. time. A couple weeks laterat IRP I ran a 13.2 at 102mph with a 1.88 60ft time. The temp was close both times around 80F. The difference was all traction, which is what your problem is. My traction problem came down to how the track was prepped. Sometimes at IRP my Yokohamas hook like mad and other times, I'll spin through all of 1st, because of about 1,000 layers of burnt rubber which make up the first 100ft of the track due to the fact that's it test and tune night and somebody get lazy with the track prep.

I'm running 275/40/zr17 Yokohama A520's which aren't even made anymore. They are sticky for a street tire (180 treadlife), but the 1.88 was definitely the best 60ft I've got. Most of the time it's around 2.1 and my car would run 13.6's. Even though the engine is screwed, I do have a 3000 stall, that's why I can take my cars off the launch.
