I have a 305 (lg4) with a 700r4, and a 3.23 non posi rear. How should I launch my car? any help is welcome

I would launch in drive, load the converter by holding the brake alittle and pressing down the gas; thats what i usually do when i am racing at a track. it takes practice to get a good launch and 60 foot time.

 

Thanks for the reply.....I think I will go mess around with launching now.....there is an industrial park in my town with alot of road, and away from everything.....kind of perfect for practicing launching.

 

if your motor is stock then just hammer it off the line...even though you dont have posi i doubt youll get any wheelspin

 

actually I do get some wheel spin, but not when im in 1st.......where at in MI are you? anywhere near Milan Dragway?

hey i have a lg4 305 with a th350 and 3.23 open rear and at the track i spun in 1st , 2nd, and a bit of 3rd when i went for my first run but later in the day i just spun 1st and part of 2nd.

trust me the track and street are 2 different grounds. i dont get much spin on the street but i could light them up at the track.

 

yeah I get alot of spin at the track also......but i was just trying to find a better way to lauch my car.
