I got to play with the Legends cars www.legendscars.com today. It was a rookie driving school showing you the basics but we had lots of seat time. I found driving a road course the most enjoyable. Running around a high banked oval at around 70 mph just made me dizzy. They have 2 other schools. An advanced school which teaches driving along side another car with passing and a top gun school. Flat out racing usually hits 120 mph in the straight-a-ways.

At least I understand braking and taking a line around a corner to the apex a lot better now. Actually it wasn't much different than the way I drive on the street. Just the guy in front of you won't do anything stupid.

Cost wise to get into Legends cars, I think I'll stick to drag racing. An entry level car is around $5000 Canadian. They're a spec car so there's not a lot you can change on them. I could rent one fully equiped with pit crew for $500/day/race. All I have to do is drive. Everything else is supplied.

If they ever had an autocross race here, I'd consider entering my truck.

You could always build your Iroc into an SCCA A-sedan roadracer...it's lots of fun!

It would be easier to start with another car. This one will never be anything except a drag car until it gets destroyed.
