What's the current fastest '89 TTA out there that any of you know of? I'm just wondering. I am really wanting to buy one of these things really bad after I sell my LS1, and I'm trying to find someone who knows their stuff to talk to about modifying these things and how to make them fast.

Also, sorta off-topic, what rear-end comes in the TTA?

7.75 BW 3:27 gears

 

I knew it was a Borg-Warner with 3.27's, but I was wondering if it was a "9-bolt" or a "10-bolt" or what...

3.27 gear ratio would be in a 9 bolt BW

 

Fastest one currently who knows ? Fastest one I knew of was Bill Sake's TTA, 9.5's @ 140+. A lot of guys in the 10's with them. Cost $200 to put mine in the mid 12's, hi 11's are possible for less than $1k.

Bill Sakes car is a stage block car. Although he's the fastest "real" TTA that I know of. Crisafulli's car ran 10.0 on the original engine in whatever class that was back then. He's building a stage engine and is shooting for low 9's-high 8's with it now. Hopefully it'll be back in action soon. Haven't seen it run at least in 4 years.

Mine's a lot slower....
