What will my car run?
I just pulled the motor out of my relatively stock 1988 Iroc-Z28 350 TPI about a week ago. I've had the engine completely machined, bored 30 over, had the heads rebuilt, and purchased Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons, plus had the crank machined and balanced. Before this little performance endeavor i had installed a Flowmaster American thunder cat back exhaust, 24 lb injectors, and k&n air filters. With the rebuilt motor i have purchased a 255lbh fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, high flow oil pump, the LT4 Hot camshaft, the Holley Stealth Ram intake setup, a 58 mm TB, plus SLP 1 3/4in headers, and 3.73 gears. What do you think my car will run once its all back together? thanks

I would say with a good tune high 12's is most definetly possible! Sounds like a lot of Fun!! If I was you I'd look into some transmission mods too (at the least a shift kit).

should of went with a 52 mm tb. the 58 mm tb will actually slow you down unless your making over 500 hp. it'll bog down and not have the response you want. i think the 52 is rated at 750'ish cfm and the 58 is rated at 1100'ish can't remember exactly.
swap the 58 with a 52 and she should fly. add some 30 lbs injectors or turn your regulatory up some and it might not starve for fuel.
high 12's with a 52 mm tb low to mid 13's with a 58 mm tb

I'd say mid 12s if you can hook and have it tuned right. That setup is badass, doesn't take much to get a 3rd gen into the 12s., I know of L98s running mid 13s with LT4 hot cam, ported heads, and full exhaust on stock internals and computer with street tires! about 330 RWHP is good for mid 12s. I'm putting down about 450 RWHP and squarely in the 11s.
