Wow, you have a very fast car!
It sounds like you have a very well matched set up. Out of curiosity, If your car is still an auto, what stall torque converter do you use with that combo?

Thanks guys!!
Gp406z: ..i see your knockin on the door also on all motor..good luck!what kind of 60ft do you average with the th350 and 9inch ati?I know the 700r4 is holding some ET back from me..but i like to still go 75 mph down the highway.
I have a Art Carr 3500 non lockup in my car but could probly use a looser converter..But im to the point of not wanting to give up streetabilty..BTW im leaving the hole at idle..right now if i get on the converter at the line it shakes the BFGs so i see some ET Streets in my future

11SEC,
I usually get 1.58-1.61 60`times on motor alone and high 1.30`s using 150 worth of nitrous.According to ATI I`m supposed to foot-brake the converter all the time, hold it still with the brakes and feed it throttle till it starts to push. I leave the line at 3000 rpm.I can cruise at 70 down the highway no sweat with the 3 speed, about 2800 rpm,gas mileage sucks but I quit worrying about that years ago.
Wow,if you get ET Streets and launch more aggressively you`ll fall right in the 10s EASY.But then again I`m sure you know that!!

lol actually no i dont have a cage..Ive been goin to this same track for years so the track people are fairly forgiving to me as long as i dont try to bracket race with my time dialed in lower than a 11.50 w/o the roll cage..but yes it is something that im in deep consideration of right now

I have a very similar engine set-up, no times, building it now. I'm just wondering what tranny,700r4 or turbo 350/400, and what stall convertor do you have?
thanks for any info

How hard was it to work with the ZZX cam?
I know it is a very large cam for the street and have heard that it is a pain to tune with?
Hows your throttle response on the street?

Thanks alot, I take it you are not running your stock rear. I'm looking for a 9 inch with 4.10 gears, that's probably a similar gear to what you have. Good luck hitting the 10's. Throw a nice shot of nitrous at it and you'll be there.

Hi, very impressive setup. Just a few ?'s:
What rear and gears? Subframe connectors?
So Richmond Dragway is pretty lenient on the 11.49 cage rule huh?

Thanks,

Joel

First of all the ZZX is very streetable..its choppy but not unbearable..sounds nice yes i am running 10 bolt rear..it usually breaks atleast once a year..but ive been to cheap to invest in a good rear..but i might invest soon.lol..I havent had any tuning issues TPIS did my chip and it has worked great for me.Throttle response is immediate...No i dont have subframe connectors..is in plans for near future though...Im not gonna say Richmond Dragway is leanient..I think it helps ive been goin out there since i was in high school so they know me well but thats is a another issue i need to address also.(roll bar).but im kinda torn in what direction i want to go with my car at this point...

Hah! just figured I'd save you some typing...so I can ask more questions. So do you have cats now with the true duals? Just wondering about smog/exhaust inspections. Will a non-stock exhaust pass as long as you put cats on it?

Man, there is something to be said for a healthy 383. It keeps nagging me (Build a 383, build a 383) Gingo's its sooo tempting.
