Here are some pics of the roll bar I just had installed. I would like to know how you mount the 5 point harness to the horizontal bar.

I see you have swing out bars. I'm sure our members would like to know how close those door bars are to the inner door panels. Most third gen door bars are bent to clear the inner handles.
Mounting the harness depends on the style used. Wrap around is the easiest but you'll still need a bolt through the bar to keep the harness from sliding down the bar. A simple bolt and nut through the bar beside the harness is all that's needed. If the harness has a mounting point then a tab needs to be welded onto the bar for it to bolt to. The tab can be on the front or rear of the crossbar.
If you're keeping that seat then it's fine. If you intend on using any sort of non OEM seat, then the back of the seat also needs to be attached to the crossbar. I welded a bracket onto the crossbar and ran a bolt through the back of my race bucket to the bracket.

The shop that put it in wanted the inside door panels left on the car when I took it there. They have the sidebars flush with the inside arm rest when the doors are closed. I just have the swingout on the drivers side. The hardward for the swingout was 75.00CDN. The rollbar installed was 640.00CDN.

I looked at thos pics again. I'm a little concerned about the rear braces. From what I can see it looks like a straight tube welded to a curved tube. By the rulebook, this alone will not pass. My front bars are the same way and it was only questioned once at a divisional event.
By the rules, any bars that have been joined together like that must have a smaller tube inside to add strength. There must be a hole drilled through the outer tube to show the inner tube.
Like I said, I was only questioned once because mine is just butt welded together about a foot from the floor on the front bars. I could get around it by simply installing swingout bars on both sides. The local tech inspectors don't question it.

I will have to check the rear bars tomorrow in the daylight. I don't think they are welded but I can see from the pics what you mean. If they are it will be going to the shop to get it right.
If I was to weld a tab to the crossbar to mount the harness what thickness of metal does it need to be?

1/8 or 3/16. I can't remember. The tabs should be available from any chassis shop.
I can't find anything in the rulebook about joining 2 pieces of tube together like that. I'm sure there was something in there about how to do it. That's probably why I've never had a problem with mine except for that one inspector.
If NHRA discovers something isn't working properly like that then they specify a rule.
The best thing is to just e-mail NHRA tech and ask them.

Stephen, I checked those rear braces this morning and much to my relief the lines you could see are chalk marks. Probably the marks he used when bending the pipes.

Looks great!! A great price too! I am looking into doing my Monte SS up right now and found a place in Hamilton, Ontario to do it all for $600 even. So it looks like we will both get a great deal!
