What is "Top ET" and "Modified ET"?
These are the two classes they will be racing this Sat at Lonestar Raceway near Houston. I assume these are bracket racing, but does anybody know the difference and rule, requirements, ect. for each class?
I want to go out and race and I might either race in the bracket racing, or just run Test and tune, I am just not sure about which class, if either I could run

Must be an IHRA track. Mod Et is footbrake class, no delay boxes etc. Top Et is full electronics. The et cutoff may vary between tracks, our cut off is 10.00.

Yes it is defeintely a IHRA track. So I would be able to run the modified et class with a slightly modified firebird 350?

From what I can find on the IHRA site, you'll have to contact the local track to see what's allowed and what isn't. It seems the rules vary at each track and the IHRA site doesn't give much information.
Basically Mod ET is 13.99 and quicker. Delay boxes and throttle stops prohibited (electronics). Some tracks allow transbrakes and 2-steps. Looks like a similar class to Pro ET with NHRA.
I doubt you'll be quick enough to qualify for Top ET, "Super Pro in NHRA". There is one more class mentioned called Street ET "Sportsman ET in NHRA" for 12.00 seconds and slower.
