I hear that g-tech is usually off by a few tenths of a sec sometimes. Anyways, looks like your car has quite a bit of pontential.

The new Gtechs now have a 60' feature.

However it seems to me that they are inacurate. 4.11 gears and 10.5" ET Streets should give you a much better short time...if you werent spinning them. I guess that is possible given the temp outside.

ET Streets like to be very hot. It is possible that your 4.11 gearing isnt allowing you to heat them up enough in the burnout using 1st gear. If they are spinning on your launch, it may be time for a line lock so that you can use 2nd gear for burnouts.

Dont be afraid of a big burnout with these tires. In my experience the longer you heat 'em, the more they stick. Do a smokeshow that would make John Force crack a grin and try another run.

They say the new g-techs are good to within 2 tenths but the mph is usually off 3 or 4 mph.

ya its the new g-tech compition. it was 25* outside and no burnout to warm them up . just driving around to find a spot to run then run . looked today and there is about 10 to 12 ' of black at the launch. i left at 4500rpm. compared to the street tires that i run and can't crack the secondaries in first , i was trying to figure out how to launch .
when we ran the g-tech on a friends camero in the 1/8th in augest his time slips were 7.0, 7.1 and the g-tech read 7.2,7.3 so we were impressed with it
going to run a chevy luv tomarrow . it has a tpi 350 and turbo in it . it has run some 13.0 on the old style g-tech i'll let you all know what happens

Good deal.

Make sure to heat up those mickeys real good. Pull your front swaybar and watch those 60' times become very impressive.

maybe it's the lack of sleep talking, but with that setup, why are you running so slow? i'd think you'd be faster than a 12.6

i thought the same thing but it is built to be a n2o motor. the plugs are 3 steps to cold and i have done no tuning other than set timming at 35* total at 3000rpm. the ex. are ported heavily and the intakes mild and the ring gaps are set bigger but it still should be pulling harder i think . any thoughts or suggestions to try . i also need to get my 60 foot times down.
