Twisted!!!!
Readin my IHRA mag and they had a pic of this guy. I never got to race him cause he was in open modified, but it was crazy watching him launch nonetheless, just though I'd share it with ya'll. It says in the article he actually likes leaving like this, BUT he did break his trans before the finals though. Man that'd be a ride, almost looks like the suspension is set-up for the articulation ramp outta 4x4 mag.

hellava show though!! and I'll be damned if he did'nt go come out straight every pass to boot. Kinda hard to believe, cause there can't be much for down pressure on the left rear tire.

Terrible suspension setup. I've seen a car with so much twist that it came up enough to be on the right rear tire only. The car pulled so hard to the right that it went right over the guard rail.
If the car twists that much and still runs straight then there's not much tech can do. If the car is dangerous enough they could ban him from racing until it's fixed.
A properly set up chassis should pull both front wheels off the ground evenly.

I have seen a good amount of cars at the local track that pull something like that. What ever works man...what ever works. Like you said Stephen. If it isn't coming out of that staight he's done. but the fella said he likes it like that so ot must work...I guess.

Rick races at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukana
He does this every time, very consistant on each run.
He is usually in the top 10 in Hot Rod at WIR.
Fun to race him...just glad I leave first.
Little scary when he is sitting next to you during time trials.
lights go...look over and see the top of his hood staring at you.

Hell, I'd be more afraid of being in the left lane against him in a TT, just imagine if something did go wrong and you had that beast changing lanes at the line and munching on your car.
Down in Cordova, a gal we race with-66 Stang- almost had that happen to her, they took off for the last TT before the Gamblers, the opponet stood the car up and verred severly towards the tower lane which she was in, came down just over the dividing line past the tree. When she got back to camp, all her husband asked was "did ya shift at the right rpm?" Her reply was " hell no, if I'm gonna die racing I'm gonna make sure my foots to the floor," she only missed it by 300rpm though.
